Unconditional Surrender Statue
After our morning hike at Runyon Canyon, we had the afternoon free. I pushed to go to San Diego and Jasmin wanted to see the Unconditional Surrender statue.
So after a shower and lunch, I drove down to SD.
This was July 4th, and the place was super busy! We weren’t there for festivities, so we just went to see the statue, get some local food and leave.
The statue was bigger than I thought. Also while there, it was good to see the tributes and memorials along with the USS Midway (but no tour).
There was the National Salute to Bob Hope and the US Military as well as the USS San Diego memorial.
We parked at Seaport Village because the placed is packed and busy.
