All Shikoku Rail Pass
I have been to Takamatsu 7 times, but this will be the 1st time I get out of Takamatsu. As I am trying to use the various regional passes offered, it will be nice to use the All Shikoku Rail Pass for a few days while there.
What is interesting is that you can use the other train lines (mostly trams). I thought about going the distance to the southern areas out side of Kochi, but the train times are a bit too infrequent for me. So I will plan accordingly on where to use this.
Additionally, if I wanted to go to Shodoshima Island, the ferry is covered too. That is an option I might consider. Finally, the pass covers a little bit outside of Shikoku, just north across Seto inland sea, is Kojima station.

UPDATE:
I was able to use the All Shikoku railway pass and enjoyed it. I opted for a 3 day pass. While I didn’t use the pass completely in Shikoku (going to Kochi or Shodoshima), I did go to Ehime, Kagawa and Tokushima. It seems that all the railways in Shikoku are covered with this pass (as seen in the picture above). Besides JR, I was able to use it with Iyotetsu’s tram and Takamatsu’s Kotoden-line.
I also used the Limited Expresses: Ishizuchi, Shiokaze, Uzushio, Nanpu and Marine Liner.
